What this means…

So I’ve been thinking about blogging about my love life again… my MARRIED love life. People ask me all the time, “How’s married life?” And my answer is usually a nonchalant “it’s great.” I say this mostly because I don’t know how I can even begin to explain how awesome my life with my man is. In today’s world where people ask questions to be polite rather than from real desire to know, it’s just easier to say, “It’s great.” Now to be fair, I’m sure a lot of people do want to know, but again… I struggle to find the words sometimes and I don’t want to go on and on about how amazing it is. (Humility maybe?)

I’m ready though. I’m ready to spill my guts about married life. I think marriage should be celebrated because it’s fun, messy, hard and the best thing when you find the right one. I also love the title of this blog… “Love like a Kruger.” Not to toot our own horns, but I think my man and I have a pretty great story and a unique way we love. We believe in love and in fighting for a great love… which means we communicate a lot.

I’m not sure where this blog will go, or how I’m going to start, but I can’t wait to see what it becomes.fall in love for life book

Before I close this first post, I have to give credit to the book that inspired me to tell my story. It’s called Fall in love for life and it’s written by an awesome woman who was married for 73 years.

I saw the book at Book People as part of their Valentine’s book display. I picked it up and read several chapters in. This book made me want to begin writing down my love story. Why wait, right?
